🇬🇧🇷🇺🇺🇦⚡️ — British military intelligence estimates that 500,000 Russian soldiers have been killed since Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, Sky News reports.

Air Chief Marshal Sir Rich Knighton, head of the UK armed forces, said total Russian casualties, including wounded personnel, are estimated at around 1.5 million. He said most of those losses have occurred since January 2023.

Western officials said there was no indication that the scale of the casualties or mounting economic pressure had changed President Putin’s objective of bringing Ukraine back under Moscow’s sphere of influence.
