Teams deepfake alerts are coming, but Microsoft is leaving detection to vendors

Microsoft plans to add certified third-party deepfake detection to Teams meetings, with general availability targeted for November 2026. Vendors will analyze meeting audio and video; Teams will surface their alerts and give organizers controls to respond. Microsoft has not yet explained how organizations will deploy or manage the integrations.
