Microsoft pauses KB5002907 after Office licenses vanish

Microsoft has paused KB5002907 after confirming that the optional Microsoft 365 Apps repair update could deactivate valid Office installations—and in some cases remove the apps entirely. The update follows reports that Office 2016 and 2019 licenses were suddenly deactivated, with affected users now receiving a manual recovery procedure.
