Microsoft has confirmed that recent Windows 11 updates can prevent the desktop from loading, particularly on Azure Virtual Desktop hosts using FSLogix. The issue expands the problems previously reported with KB5120998’s black wallpapers and broken cursor settings, with affected users now seeing black screens and Explorer crashes after signing in.
