Alibaba claims Zhenwu V900 is China’s most powerful AI chip

Alibaba claims its Zhenwu V900 is “the most powerful AI chip in China today,” but the company has not released enough independent benchmark data to verify that ranking. The accelerator is scheduled for commercial release in the first quarter of 2027, and Alibaba says it delivers three times the performance of the M890 and can scale into a 500,000-chip cluster for training future Qwen models with up to 10 trillion parameters.
