Salesforce’s Koa AI model targets the hidden cost of using Claude at scale

Salesforce is adding its own CRM-focused AI model, Koa, only weeks after making Anthropic’s Claude central to its platform. The strategy is less contradictory than it looks: Claude can handle difficult reasoning, while Koa is designed to process simpler CRM tasks more cheaply and reduce Salesforce’s dependence on expensive frontier models.
