Microsoft Foundry’s four levers to cut AI agent costs

Microsoft Foundry is adding a runtime-focused playbook for lowering AI agent costs, moving beyond the spending visibility described when it turned AI agent spending into a FinOps problem. The new guidance targets the full cost of a completed task by combining model routing, caching, prompt and agent optimization, and continuous measurement.
