Excel’s Exchange Connector retirement could break workbooks in April 2027

Microsoft will retire Excel’s Exchange Connector in April 2027, potentially breaking workbooks that pull mail or calendar data from Exchange. Workbook authors must manually migrate to Microsoft’s replacement connectors, while users on Office 2021 and older perpetual versions may need to upgrade because the replacements are limited to Microsoft 365 and Office 2024.
