Microsoft Entra News #162: passkeys become first MFA as Tenant Governance goes GA

Microsoft Entra is introducing several administrator-facing identity changes at once: users can register passkeys or passwordless sign-in as their first MFA method, while SMS first-factor sign-in is being retired for Entra ID Free tenants. The same update highlights Microsoft Entra Tenant Governance reaching general availability, giving organizations new guidance for managing their Entra tenant estate.
