Former President Donald Trump may be pressuring Kyiv to capitulate to facilitate business deals with Russia involving Arctic mineral extraction, the thawing of Russian assets in the West, and arrangements related to the Nord Stream pipelines, The Atlantic reported.

Last Friday, Jared Kushner and Gary Witkoff informed Ukrainian negotiators about a diesel deal aimed at encouraging Russia to return to negotiations, Reuters reported.
