Russia said on Tuesday it would quickly arrange talks between Presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump if the United States proposed them, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said.

The announcement came after Trump said he planned to speak with Putin, prompting a brief sell-off in the Russian stock index IMOEX before investors bought back shares, according to market reports.
