U.S. non-farm payrolls increased by 29,000 in September, missing expectations of 89,000 and down from an upwardly revised 133,000 in August, the Labor Department said on Friday. The unemployment rate rose to 4.2% in September, slightly above the forecasted 4.1% and up from 4.1% in the previous month.
