Russia's Foreign Ministry summoned Denmark's ambassador over provocative actions by a Danish Fennec helicopter flying over the Russian corvette Soobrazitelny in the southwestern Baltic Sea, the ministry said on Wednesday. Moscow said it viewed the actions as a violation of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea. The incident comes amid heightened tensions in the Baltic region, where increased NATO military activity has raised concerns of potential escalation.
