French President Emmanuel Macron said on Thursday that the United Kingdom would be welcomed back if it wished to rejoin the European Union, calling such a move beneficial for both the UK and Europe. European Commission spokesperson Balazs Ujvari added that the EU is ready to consider any relationship proposals put forward by Britain.
