Russia plans a record increase in military spending for 2027-2028, according to budget documents highlighted by Reuters. The total defense budget for 2027 is set at 17.1 trillion rubles, a 32.2% rise from 2026. In total, Russia aims to allocate 50 trillion rubles for defense from 2027 to 2029.
