Russia's Finance Ministry has revised its budget deficit forecast for 2026 to 7.3 trillion rubles, or 3.2% of GDP, from 3.8 trillion rubles, or 1.6% of GDP, the ministry said.
Federal budget expenditures in 2026 are expected to rise by 13.2% year-on-year to 48.6 trillion rubles, representing 20.9% of GDP.
The ministry also lowered its forecast for oil and gas revenues to 7.6 trillion rubles.
Defense spending plans include 17.1 trillion rubles in 2027, an increase from the initially planned 13.5 trillion.
