Russian microfinance organizations (MFOs) have significantly increased the sale of problem debts to collectors, transferring debts totaling 43 billion rubles between April and June. This represents a 1.5-fold increase from the previous quarter and a one-third rise compared to last year, marking the highest level in two years, Izvestia reported. The sale discount reached 80%, with collectors paying about 20 kopecks per ruble of nominal debt, down from 36 kopecks a year earlier, due to worsening loan quality.
