Russia has reportedly revived its Cold War-era "Dead Hand" nuclear system to guarantee a retaliatory strike in the event of an attack, The Sunday Times reported. The secret underground command complex, known as "Object 1335," has been expanded in the Ural Mountains. The system, also called "Perimeter," is now fully operational and is designed to send encrypted orders to surviving nuclear silos if Russia is attacked, according to the report.
