ArcelorMittal has suspended operations at its plant in Ukraine, the company said on Friday.

ArcelorMittal is in discussions with the Ukrainian government about the plant's future and said it is maintaining infrastructure to enable a possible resumption of production when conditions allow.

The Financial Times previously reported that Ukraine's steel industry had been severely affected by Russian strikes.
