TEHRAN (Reuters) - Iran has warned it will indefinitely control the Strait of Hormuz if the United States does not meet its conditions, Major General Yahya Safavi, a senior military advisor to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, said, according to Defa Press.

Iranian President Pezeshkian told FOX News that the country is seeking an agreement with the U.S. under international law.

Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi said Iran has made a proposal to the U.S. to reopen the Strait and resume talks, according to the Washington Post.
