Iran has reiterated its readiness to open the Strait of Hormuz within seven days if the United States meets specific conditions, including reducing military pressure and lifting its blockade, a senior Iranian official said. The official added that details of a ceasefire agreement could be discussed in New York with third-party mediation. Iran communicated its proposal to the United States via intermediaries on September 16.
