Iraq has halted all flights to and from Iran starting Tuesday, September 22, amid a U.S. military buildup in the region, Sabreen News reported.

The decision follows sightings of at least seven U.S. refueling aircraft over the Persian Gulf. An MQ-4C Triton drone conducted a reconnaissance flight near Iran's southern coast. Iranian media reported unidentified fighters over Bandar Abbas.

Earlier, Iran declared "Code 100" readiness, anticipating possible attacks.
