The situation continued to escalate in the following days, especially after the partial withdrawal (not total, and with the Asayish remaining in place) of the HAT (anti-terrorist troops) from the Kurdish districts of Hasakah, replaced by security troops from the Ministry of the Interior on October 7. This reduced the security and protection of the Kurdish population in the face of harassment and hate campaigns by the Arab population in the city the following day, October 8, when thousands of people gathered in Peace Square for the official raising of the Syrian green flag, only to later attack Kurdish symbols in the streets and spark clashes among the demonstrators themselves. 🇸🇾

Escalating Tensions in Hasakah Against the Kurdish Minority 🇸🇾
On Friday, October 2, a demonstration set out from the Ghweiran neighborhood (from the Abu Bakr al-Siddiq Mosque) in the city of al-Hasakah toward the governorate square, under the slogan “Friday of Enforcing Sovereignty.” The participants, mainly Arabs, demanded the acceleration of the integration agreement of January 30, 2026; an end to the duality of security and administrative authorities in favor of Damascus’s full control; the reopening of courts and public offices; and a faster integration of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and local institutions. Internal security forces deployed patrols and escorted the march, which included racist chants against the Kurds, explicit calls for their exclusion and political marginalization, damage to security cameras, and the burning of the Kurdish flag.

Sana’a forces continued their eighth day of the offensive to capture the city of Taiz and took full control of the mountains in the Jabal Habashi district with the capture of Jabal Al-Armah, Afah, Adinah, Hajramin, Al-Mahraq, Jarf, Al-Zawai, Al-Mizbar, Al-Mahsha, and Al-Shariq, forcing the Aden forces to retreat to Bani Issa, the last area in the Jabal Habashi district under their control.

There aren’t many changes on the map of Yemen today. Sanaa is negotiating with the besieged PCL and tribal troops in Taiz with mixed results: some agree to surrender their weapons, others demand safe passage to Aden, and still others are rejecting both options for the time being. Sanaa’s forces continue to deploy south of the enclave with the aim of resuming fighting in the coming days or hours to capture the remaining districts of Jabal Habashi and Mishrak. 🇾🇪

Correct, what is not false is the Pakistan agreement of Mecca accords. Military help is arriving from Pakistan to Saudi Arabia to fight Sanaa forces. 🇵🇰🇸🇦 🇾🇪
