Did you know that for many top universities, a motivation letter alone isn’t enough? Let’s break down what a supplemental essay is and when it becomes essential for your application.

A Supplemental Essay is a type of admissions essay that shows how you envision your growth within a specific university

It’s not just “one more essay.”
It’s a series of short responses where the admissions team checks:

🟢 Fit – Do your values, academic interests, and lifestyle align with the campus ecosystem?
🟢 Contribution – What will you bring (a club, a research idea, a new initiative)?
🟢 Clarity of Purpose – Do you know why you’re applying here—and not just somewhere in the U.S.?

To put it simply, your job is to prove the formula:
My experience + your university = synergy.
