🇩🇪 Why is getting into Germany not as easy as everyone says?

There seems to be a growing misconception that Germany is the easiest and most straightforward country to apply to. But in reality, there are many hurdles to be aware of beforehand. We've highlighted them in our guide.

Things to keep in mind:

• Many universities require you to submit your application through Uni-Assist. Mistakes in the forms or missing documents can lead to rejection.

• While tuition is free, there are administrative fees (around €200–500 per semester).

• Competitive programs like medicine, engineering, and IT have high demand, which means stricter GPA and document requirements.

At StudyQA Global, we've been helping students with applications since 2014, and we know all about these and other challenges that could come up on your journey. By the way, our advisor Maria herself was awarded a DAAD scholarship and studied for free at the Technical University of Munich. You can meet Maria here: https://studyqa.com/advisers/maria
