The Sakharov Fellowship is a European Parliament program for active human rights defenders from non-EU countries who work with vulnerable groups and systemic human rights violations.

🔵 Brussels + one other EU country
🔵 Up to 14 participants from around the world

What is included in the program?

🔵 Introduction to EU human rights mechanisms
🔵 Meetings with MEPs and representatives of EU institutions
🔵 Workshops on:
– Communication and advocacy
– Security and digital defense
– Countering disinformation
– Resilience and burnout
– Documenting human rights violations
🔵 Networking with the international human rights community

After completing the program, participants become part of the Sakharov Community and continue their collaboration with the EU.
