🌍 National Geographic Society 2025 Grant

National Geographic Society is now accepting applications for projects that seek science-based solutions to extreme weather and natural disasters — hurricanes, fires, floods, droughts, and heat waves. The goal is to increase the resilience of communities and preserve ecosystems.

📌 Supported areas:

Extreme Weather Field Research — field research and data collection;
Nature-Based Solutions — restoration and protection of natural systems;
Technological Solutions — AI, drones, and new technologies for forecasting and response;
Local Strategies — innovative solutions for local communities.

💰 Grant amount: up to $50,000 for up to 2 years.
👥 Who can apply: individual project leaders over 18 years old (no strict educational requirements, experience and expertise are important).
🌱 Bonus: All grantees become part of the National Geographic Explorers community with access to training, tools, and future funding.

🗓 Deadline: September 19, 2025, 11:59 PM EDT.
