🇦🇺 Research Scholarship in Australia

RMIT University has opened applications for Research Stipend Scholarships for PhD and MSc research students for 2026. There are two types of scholarships: RTP Stipend Scholarship (RSS), funded by the Australian Government, and RMIT Research Stipend Scholarship (RRSS), funded by the University. Applicants are automatically considered for all available programs when they submit a single application.

What the scholarship covers:
- Annual stipend — 35,886 AUD
- Full tuition fee coverage (for international students — through a separate grant program RIFOS or RRITFS)
- Relocation allowance — up to 1,540 AUD

Duration: up to 3.5 years for PhD, up to 2 years for MSc by research
