CERN offers a unique opportunity for scientists and engineers who have taken a career break. The "Post Career Break Fellowship" program is designed to support professionals looking to return to science after a long absence.

The program is intended for graduates in science and engineering who have interrupted their careers for two years or more due to personal reasons, such as family responsibilities or health issues.

CERN offers a 24-month contract with the possibility of extension to 36 months. The fellowship ranges from 6,194 to 6,808 Swiss francs per month before taxes. Participants receive health insurance, membership in the CERN Pension Fund, various allowances, and 30 days of paid vacation per year.
