💁♀️My name is Anna Smirnova, and I want to share how I managed to get a scholarship and go study abroad. This journey was not easy, but it was worth it — I gained incredible experience, new knowledge, and confidence.
😍 My Dream of Studying Abroad.
Since childhood, I dreamed of studying abroad. It seemed distant and unattainable, but my family and friends always supported me. I completed my bachelor's degree in Economics in Russia and realized that I wanted to expand my knowledge in an international environment.
📖 Where I Started.
The first step was to search for opportunities. I learned about the Chevening Scholarship in the UK and the Erasmus+ program in Europe.
▶️ It turned out that to apply, I needed to:

📌 Confirm my level of English (I took the IELTS and scored 7.0).

Perhaps the most challenging part was writing the motivation letter. I expressed my desire to work in an international company and develop a sustainable economy. It was important not just to list my achievements but to explain how studying abroad would help me achieve my goals.
I also sought help from my professors to write recommendations. They described my strengths, such as responsibility, diligence, and a thirst for knowledge.

After a few months of waiting, I received a letter stating that I was accepted into a master's program at a university in Amsterdam, and Erasmus+ would cover my tuition and living expenses. It was one of the happiest days of my life!

Studying abroad turned out to be even more interesting and enriching than I expected. I met students from different countries, learned to work in a multicultural environment, and became more confident. The professors inspired me with their knowledge and teaching approach, and the university provided numerous resources for development.
