Report of Suspected CoinDesk Impersonation – Request for Investigation and User Protection

MT NYA

Dear Telegram Safety and Support Team,

I am writing to report a Telegram account that appears to be impersonating CoinDesk and presenting itself as an official CoinDesk Support account without verified authorization.

Reported Telegram Account:
https://t.me/username

The reported account uses the CoinDesk name and a support-related identity in a manner that could reasonably lead users to believe that it is officially affiliated with CoinDesk or authorized to provide customer support on its behalf.

This creates a potential risk of user confusion and impersonation. Users seeking legitimate CoinDesk assistance may mistakenly trust or contact the reported account, believing that they are communicating with an official representative.

I respectfully request that Telegram investigate the account's identity, affiliation, and use of the CoinDesk name. If the account is found to be unauthorized or impersonating CoinDesk, I request that appropriate enforcement action be taken in accordance with Telegram's policies.

Where applicable, I also request that a clear warning or FAKE/SCAM label be applied to help protect users from being misled while the appropriate action is determined.

I am submitting this report in good faith and can provide additional information, screenshots, or other relevant evidence if required.

Thank you for your attention to this report and for helping protect users from potential impersonation and misleading accounts.

Sincerely,
zezeluck COMUNITY
