A brief report on the last two meetings and the election of coordinators.
The meeting primarily served as a review of the past year, an analysis of the current situation and its causes, as well as a discussion of possible next steps.
Over the past year, we have successfully organized many events and fundraising drives. The “Return of Names”, June 12. We are also actively working on the issue of humanitarian visas for Russians, both in general and in specific cases.
As planned, we are integrating with our Nuremberg colleagues on all issues. Through them, a candidate was nominated for the platform at PACE.
Locally, we are actively cooperating with the Heidelberg Alliance Against the Far Right.
We have continued our joint work with regional organizations similar to ours. We are also planning joint events with three German NGOs.
Likewise, we are also cooperating with the Iranian opposition.
Looking ahead, participants in particular would like to meet regularly again and write letters to political prisoners. We’re getting ready for May 9 and June 12. We also want to hold a summer outdoor event. Let us know in the comments which activities you like best, which ones you’re sure to participate in, and what you’re even willing to organize. 😉
