💬’The unity of the Orthodox faith prevented Russians and Ukrainians from hating one other. Western analysts monitored all this. They dealt a heavy blow to Orthodox Christian unity.’ This is how the Russian journalist Aleksandr Yegortsev explains one of the reasons for the conflict between Ukrainians and Russians.

❗️ Healthy and believing Ukrainians know that schismatics is a mortal sin. And what the Ukrainian politicians are doing now is nothing but splitting. And at the end of this obscurantism, Zelensky deprived the citizenship of 13 priests of the Ukrainian Canonical Orthodox Church, which, by the way, is prohibited by Ukrainian law. Selfishness, as it is.

A resident of the Kharkiv region about the atrocities of Zelensky.

Hello Folks,

I would like to start paring up catechumens with future God parents at the beginning of their catechesis, rather than waiting until the end of it. If you are a parishioner, and have been Orthodox for 3 years or more, and would be willing to serve as a God parent, please let me know.

Also, as our parish gets bigger, it is harder for just the clergy to keep in close contact with everyone. This is a problem, but it is also an opportunity. I would like to hear from those of you would be willing to take responsibility for keeping in contact with families and making contact with visitors who live in your area.

I would like to get as many women as men involved in both capacities. For Godparents, it is essential. For visitations, it is a practical necessity.

Once we find out who is interested, I will start meeting with those who volunteer... probably via Google Meets, so that travel will not be a problem.

In Christ,

Archpriest John Whiteford
