🇮🇷 The Supreme Leader of the Revolution:

• The early days of the month of Mehr recall the "Days of God" and the monumental, enduring phenomenon of the Iranian nation’s valiant eight-year defense during the imposed war. In those days, the warm radiance of the Revolution’s sun across the expanse of Iran spread a delightful sense of national solidarity and loyalty to the school of thought and principles of revolutionary Islam; under its influence, the ice of domination, both old and new colonialism, was melting away.

• At that time, some Iranians remembered events from two decades prior the malice of colonialists, the nationalization of the oil industry, and the American-backed coup. Others had heard accounts of these events, and many had personally experienced the devastating impact of foreign domination on our country's affairs.

• Yet, the preceding era had been a dark and gloomy time when ambassadors of arrogant powers dictated "dos and don'ts" to the country's Shah who would implement them, whether willingly or reluctantly until the Iranian nation's great revolution, led by Imam Khomeini (RA), dismantled that entire system. Thanks to this revolution, those dark days gave way to the radiant era of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

• This outcome was deeply galling to the dominators who had cast covetous eyes on the land's wealth and in their quest to seize it had for years inflicted all manner of wrongs upon its people. Consequently, from that point on, they dedicated all their efforts to diverting the surging current of the revolutionary nation back to its former course; the First Imposed War was their most significant move during the first decade of the Islamic Republic’s blessed existence.

• From the fires of that war ignited by the anti-popular Ba'ath Party under the delusion of a conflict lasting mere days and an easily won victory the Islamic system rose like a phoenix, more robust and powerful than before, with a more resonant voice and a loftier flight; this became an enduring characteristic of the system in the face of subsequent enemy-orchestrated crises.

• Those days when the nation's enemy had imposed its lackeys upon the people and was enforcing a new form of colonialism were transformed, through the blessing of the Revolution and the raising of the banners of Islam and Jihad amidst the Imposed War, into days of great glory. Even now, thirty-eight years after the war’s conclusion, examining the details of those events and the sincere accounts of the survivors—paragons who each offer lessons in devotion, courage, resistance, ethics, and humanity reveals them shining like brilliant stars upon the firmament of our country's history.

• In the early days of the aggressions by the agents of the hegemonic system, our country having inherited a state of empty-handedness from the tyrannical regime faced numerous threats while lacking the means for defense. Yet, through the upholding of truth and divine succor, we have now reached a time when the aggressors themselves, not merely their lackeys, scramble for cover against the strikes of the warriors of Islam and plead for an end to the conflict.

• The era to which they wish to drag our country back was one defined by backwardness, humiliation, subservience, and disrepute within the Islamic world. In contrast, the present era is marked by progress, honor, independence, and immense prestige not only within the Islamic world but across the globe. Today, some regard us as the world's fourth superpower. While they base this assessment on worldly calculations, divine reckoning views a nation that identifies with the Pure Progeny (peace be upon them all) a nation whose people are devoted to those exalted figures and fear nothing in the pursuit of truth—as the world's foremost power.
