This story is all made up by the target. He has no kids or a son suffering from cancer, and he made it up to gain sympathy.

In reality, he is a gambler, and all of the money he had came from Stake, meaning that sooner or later, he would have most likely lost it anyway.

We’re not that evil to do this. We would never intentionally target someone’s child or take advantage of a situation like that.
