Then something strange happens:
You think of someone who used to always be there.
You were connected. Close. Familiar.
And now?
No conflict.
No break.
No drama.
Just… silence.
As if your paths have simply shifted apart.
You could still call them.
You could still meet them.
But deep inside, you know:
You wouldn’t truly meet anymore.
And at some point, you begin to notice:
You are still moving in the same world—
but it responds to you differently.
Things align more easily.
Or they simply fall away.
Some doors open without you knocking.
Others suddenly no longer exist.
And then comes that moment hardly anyone speaks about:
You try to go back.
To the old version.
To the way you used to live, feel, react…
And you can’t.
Not because you’re not allowed to.
But because it feels
like you would be leaving yourself behind.
Maybe this is the real transition.
No disappearance.
No sudden vanishing.
But a quiet drifting apart of realities
that once overlapped perfectly.
And maybe…
others can still see you.
Just as you can still see them.
But you can no longer reach each other.
Not because someone is “ahead.”
Not because someone is “left behind.”
But because you have begun
to live different versions of the same world.
If you feel this,
you don’t need an explanation anymore.
