Soneium is advancing IP standardization and intends to support the Onchain IP Asset and License Registry (ERC-8432) as one of the open standards in this area.

Tokenized IP + AI agents + ERC-8432: rights that travel with the work, and agents that can act on them.

AI agents can discover, remix, and reuse creative works in seconds. But holding an IP token alone doesn't tell an agent what it's allowed to do. ERC-8432, an open standard posted to Ethereum Magicians on September 28th, proposes a common interface for this.

ERC-8432 aims to close that gap: one common interface to register Tokenized IP, publish license terms AI agents can read, and check agreements onchain.

In practice: a rights holder registers a recording as Tokenized IP and attaches license terms. An AI agent making a video finds it, verifies it's permitted to use the track, and acquires an agreement in one transaction, all through ERC-8432.
