By May 16, we already welded the microcontroller to the lower board and it was also connected to the photodiodes previously located on the upper board.

On May 14th, we finally completed the assembly of the photodiodes to the top board. The photodiodes were oriented perpendicular to each other to guarantee the detection of light coming from any direction.

Here is finally the mockup within which our detection device will be found. It is made with 3 mm extruded organic glass and bonded with cyanoacrylate rubber.

On May 3 we assembled the circuit with the 5 photodiodes. Using sunlight we determined the most optimal resistance, which was 820 Ohms, and we also measured the maximum voltage for each of the photodiodes.

On April 27th, we programmed the microcontroller. We check the functionality of the UART and the voltage measurement circuit on the shunt to the photodiode using an ADC.

At the time of starting the assembly of the project we encountered the problem that the microcontroller chip - RP2-B2 (RP2040-B2) only has 3 ADC pins, while we require 5 pins, since we will use 5 photodiodes. Therefore, we decided to use the debugging board with the STM32F401CCU6 chip, which has 16 ADC-pins.
That's why on April 26th we had to carry out the entire welding process again with the new microcontroler.

Hi everyone! On April 25th we printed the first piece of our project on the university's 3d-printer - Creality Ender 3 S1 Pro. It is made of polyethylene PETG.
