What is the definition of alt season, from a scientific standpoint?

Alt Season happens when Bitcoin dominance drops from above 60% to ~ 40%

in the graphic below, I circled the two we have seen in the past.

2017–2018 Alt Season: The first big drop, where BTC dominance fell sharply as capital flooded into ICOs and ETH-led tokens.

2021 Alt Season: The second major plunge, coinciding with DeFi Summer, NFT booms, and Layer 1 rotations.

The higher Bitcoin dominance runs, the more juice there is for Alt Season.

There has been no alt season this cycle yet. There's a lot of Juice.
