This idea was controversial, as it was used to justify the takeover of the Wild West and the annexation of Texas. Now it has returned to the scale of the world and even the universe: in this vein, Trump mentioned the need to plant an American flag on Mars.
Reconstructing American Greatness on new principles is not globalism, but exceptionalism cubed.
