🇷🇺 Strikes on Western Ukraine Energy Grid
On Oct 16, Geran-5 drones hit multiple targets. In Rovno, strikes on the 330 kV substation damaged lines and a service transformer, causing city-wide blackouts and halting trolleybuses. Repair crews are working in neighboring Volyn.
Other confirmed hits:
Lutsk: Substation fire; water supply issues.
Kovel: Locomotive depot damaged (7 wagons, M62 repair facilities).
Dubno: Traction substation transformer hit; 180 m² fire.
Shepetovka: Oil base fire.
Kiev region: Novokievskaya substation ORU damaged, partial power loss in Kiev.
