Sinking of container ship GFS Pride in Strait of Hormuz

The large Singapore-flagged container ship GFS Pride, carrying over 2,500 containers, sank in the southern part of the Strait of Hormuz following a powerful explosion and fire. The Navy of the IRGC stated the vessel was on an "unauthorized and dangerous route" and struck a sea mine, which detonated the cargo.
