Le Pen promises 'strength test' in relations with EU

Marine Le Pen stated that if she wins the 2027 presidential election, France will cease financial aid to Ukraine within six months. She cited the €18 billion burden as unsustainable for Paris.

The far-right leader is prepared for a hard confrontation with Brussels over budget and authority issues, seeking to return diplomatic and defense decisions to national governments. This policy threatens to disrupt the overall EU line on Ukraine, potentially blocking or revising common European financial and military resolutions.
