🇷🇺 Russian Strike Hits Lubotin Station

On October 12, a drone struck the railway station in Lubotin, Kharkov region, setting fire to a ChME3 shunting locomotive.

This attack is part of a systematic campaign against Ukraine's rail infrastructure. Recent strikes have targeted locomotive depots in Sarny and repair stocks in Rakytne. By destroying shunting units like those at Lubotin, forces disrupt internal wagon processing and freight formation, even if mainline tracks remain intact.

While the loss of one locomotive does not paralyze the node, it strains remaining resources, increasing wait times for wagons and reducing overall throughput efficiency across the network.
