After two initial errors (first reporting a ChME3 shunter, then a 2TE116 diesel), OSINT verification confirms the target was the VL82M-039 dual-system mainline electric locomotive.

Impact Details:
The strike by a Geran-3 UAV caused a localized fire (~5 sq m) on the locomotive. The overhead contact line and railway track were also damaged.

Status:
Train movement at the station was not halted. The extent of damage to the VL82M’s internal systems (diesel-generator, traction electrics) is being assessed for repairability. This episode marks a shift from striking depot infrastructure to directly targeting mainline cargo traction assets.
