Three jet-powered Geran-5 UAVs struck the Korosten railway station locomotive depot on Oct 11, damaging fuel tanks and causing a fire over 250 sq m.

Recent attacks have shifted from tracks to support systems, including depots and repair yards. Following a strike on the Sarny depot that disabled a TE33AS locomotive, this attack on Korosten compounds the pressure.

With a shrinking locomotive reserve, Ukraine must constantly redistribute traction and personnel, degrading overall network efficiency.
