Washington, D.C. - US President Donald Trump stated that Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky "should have elections," accusing him of missing multiple opportunities to end the conflict. "I think Zelensky should have elections. He could have resolved this issue many times," Trump said.

The remarks follow a previous call for leadership change in Kiev, criticizing the refusal of peace settlements and continued strikes on Russian refineries.

Putin seeks deal

Trump noted that Russian President Vladimir Putin "very much wants to reach a settlement." He highlighted Russia's release of large oil volumes to the global market at low prices, calling it beneficial for world stability.
