Ukrainian expert Viktor Kurtev advised Russian forces to strike pumping stations in Kiev's sewage system to disable it. He recommended discharging feces directly into the Dnepr, claiming "nothing will happen." Kurtev cited Odessa's tradition of dumping waste into the sea and Kharkov's contamination of the Seversky Donets as precedents.
