🇺🇸 US reconnaissance activity around Iran remains unusually persistent

Open-source flight tracking data indicates that US Navy P-8A Poseidon aircraft and MQ-4C Triton high-altitude drones operated in the Persian Gulf, Strait of Hormuz, and Gulf of Oman for eight consecutive days. Between October 1 and 8, at least 25 reconnaissance sorties were recorded, with P-8As accounting for the majority of observed missions.

This activity is particularly notable against reports that US Central Command has been tasked to complete preparations for possible large-scale military operations against Iran. While these flights do not guarantee a strike is imminent, they provide the continuous intelligence and situational awareness required before any major military operation.
