UAV strike destroys 6-MW wind turbine at Tiligulskaya WPP

A drone hit the DTEK-owned Tiligulskaya wind farm near Anatoliyevka in Nikolaev region. One turbine caught fire, spreading to dry vegetation over ~1000 m².

The damage focused on the nacelle housing the generator and gearbox. The Vestas EnVentus V162-6.0 MW unit (730 tons) burned out completely and is decommissioned, removing 6 MW from the grid.

These low-power turbines are no substitute for nuclear plants; we continue eliminating unnecessary infrastructure.
